  Notice is hereby given that the Leinster Branch Annual General Meeting is scheduled for Sunday 20th June 2021 at 2.30 pm. The meeting will take place in the Terenure Badminton Centre, Whitehall Road, Terenure, Dublin D12P659. In advance of the Meeting, you will receive information relating to upcoming vacancies on the Executive committee together with the relevant Nomination forms. Leinster Branch Badminton announce, with sadness, the passing of Joe Buckley RIP

Joe was a lifelong stalwart of Leinster Badminton and a life long supporter of Terenure Badminton Centre. Joe was a gentleman.  He had a lovely way of dealing with people .He was very popular and everyone knew him or of him . He played Badminton for Garda/Avondale and Mount Pleasant. He served on the Leagues and Cups Committee as Chairman for over 25 years. He served on the Executive Committee and was a Vice President of the branch. International Women’s Day 2021-Leinster Badminton Women in Sport

International Women's Day 2021 takes place on Monday the 8th of March. We would like all of our Clubs to get involved in promoting Badminton/International Women's Day.  Badminton Ireland have asked if you would highlight someone from your club and promote their work for the club on International Women's Day. Badminton Ireland Annual General Meeting 2021

Badminton Ireland - Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2021 (To be held virtually, on Saturday 15th May 2021) Notice is hereby given that the AGM of the Badminton Union of Ireland Limited will be held virtually on Zoom on Saturday 15th May 2021 at 11 am. There are no positions up for election at the forthcoming AGM. Dick O’Rafferty – An Appreciation

With the sad passing of Dick O’Rafferty, Leinster Badminton has lost one of its greatest stalwarts, as player, volunteer, manager and archivist. Born in Dublin and educated in Gorey, Co.Wexford, Dick first came to notice when playing in the early juvenile tournaments in the mid-1950s, winning several events and beating more fancied players along the way. On leaving school, he secured employment in Dublin and moved to live there, where he met and later married his charming wife, Mona, who has been an immense support to him throughout his life. Attendance restrictions apply to the funeral arrangements for our former General Secretary Dick O’Rafferty. Leinster Badminton Reopening – December 5th

Reopening After COVID-19 Lockdown - December 5th Over the last number of months, Badminton Ireland has worked with other sports to engage with the Sports Export Group on the nuances of our Sport and the impact the restrictions are having on participation. We have made the point that indoor sports such as tennis and badminton require a minimum of two people for any meaningful participation to take place. If specific protocols are implemented, they can be managed safely with minimum risk of transmission of COVID-19. This was accepted by the Export group, and the guidance for level 3 amended. [...]
